Semax is a synthetic heptapeptide analog of the adrenocorticotropic hormone fragment ACTH(4-10), with the sequence Met-Glu-His-Phe-Pro-Gly-Pro. Originally developed in Russia, it is studied as a research tool for investigating neurotrophic signaling, BDNF and NGF expression, melanocortin receptor activity, and central nervous system response to ischemia and oxidative stress. All information is strictly for research use only (RUO) and not intended for human or veterinary diagnostic or therapeutic use.
Stability is maintained when stored lyophilized at -20°C. After reconstitution in bacteriostatic water, store at 2-8°C and use within 30 days for in vitro research applications.
